Violation of this policy may result in temporary or permanent suspension of your account.

You may NOT use the Signals platform to:

Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law
Engage in fraudulent activities or misrepresentation
Facilitate or promote illegal activities
Infringe upon intellectual property rights
Violate privacy rights or data protection laws
2. Abuse and Harassment
Harass, threaten, or intimidate others
Use data to stalk, dox, or target individuals
Send unsolicited spam or bulk communications
Impersonate another person or entity
Post hateful, discriminatory, or offensive content
3. Security Violations
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or accounts
Probe, scan, or test vulnerabilities without permission
Circumvent authentication or security measures
Access data or accounts you're not authorized to access
Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks
Introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful code
Conduct denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks
4. Data Misuse
Resell, redistribute, or sublicense data without authorization
Use data for purposes prohibited by source municipalities
Scrape or harvest data beyond your subscription limits
Share API keys or credentials with unauthorized parties
Cache or store data excessively beyond operational needs
Remove or obscure data source attributions
5. Automated Abuse
Use bots, scripts, or automated tools without authorization
Generate excessive API requests or overload systems
Bypass rate limits or usage quotas
Create fake accounts or engage in coordinated inauthentic behavior
6. Resource Abuse
Consume excessive bandwidth or server resources
Use the Service in a way that degrades performance for others
Run cryptocurrency mining or similar resource-intensive operations
Share one account among multiple users to avoid subscription fees
7. Competitive Monitoring
Use data to build a competing service
Benchmark against Signals for competitive advantage
Copy or replicate Signals' features, interface, or functionality
Reverse engineer the Service
Acceptable Uses
Examples of appropriate uses of Signals include:
Lead Generation: Identifying potential clients for construction, contracting, or real estate services
Market Research: Analyzing building trends and market opportunities
Compliance Monitoring: Tracking permits and violations for portfolio properties
Business Intelligence: Integrating building data into internal CRM or business systems
Risk Assessment: Evaluating neighborhood safety and building conditions
Academic Research: Studying urban development and construction patterns (with proper attribution)
Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violations of this AUP, please report them to us immediately:
Include your account details and reason for appeal
Provide any evidence supporting your case
We will review appeals within 5 business days and respond with our decision. Our decision on appeals is final.
Cooperation with Law Enforcement
We cooperate with law enforcement agencies investigating suspected criminal activity. We may disclose account information, usage data, or other records in response to valid legal process or when we believe disclosure is necessary to prevent harm.
No Monitoring Obligation
While we have the right to monitor use of the Service, we have no obligation to do so. We are not responsible for user-generated content or third-party actions. However, we may remove content or suspend users at our discretion.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or prominent notice on our Service. Your continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
